The MOTHER LOAD....Part2

Hello again....I hope this post finds everyone in fine junking form....!  As promised Sunday evening I'm back with Part 2 of one of my BEST Sunday Wrap Ups EVER....  :o)  !!

To recap....This is my LOOT in all it's chippy, rusty, shabby GLORY....hahahahaha....If ONLY I could keep it all....!!

Bathroom cabinet mirror was rescued straight from the Hard Rubbish while the TO DIE FOR bottle was found in the dark at the Market.

Coat hanger, silver urn, ping pong paddles, bike horn, industrial stand & heavy wood easel ALL from the HR while the AWESOME toaster & counter bell were from the Market.

This easel IS....It's WAY COOL that's what it is & I'm thinking I may NOT be able to part with it just quietly....!!

The chippy green & white door peeking out from behind the easel weighs a TONNE & took ALL my junkin' muscels to get it in the van....hahahahaha....It's no small wonder I'm so K-nackered on Sunday evenings....!

Love love love LOVE these old windows....Why anyone would REMOVE these beauties leaves me gobsmacked....!!

DIVINE chippy blue metal esky from the HR & an assortment of tools from the Market....LOVE tools....  :o) !!

Alf, scrabble, monopoly & aluminium mould ALL plucked from the HR in front of the same house....!

And before I bid you farethewell....I just wanted to show you the farmhouse table up close because the patina REALLY IS GORGEOUS....!!  This piece will just get a gentle clean & I'll reglue & clamp the legs....I'm debating whether to reglue & clamp the top because I'm LOVING the cracks....hmmmmmmm.....May ponder that one for a while....  :o) !!

YUMMY chippy goodness....** drool **

Later this week I want to show you ANOTHER Treasure RESCUED from the HR....It's so AWESOME it deserves it's own post....Stay tuned....!!!

I hope you're all having a GREAT week & doing what makes you happy....!!!

Cheers for now,
Tamarah :o)

  1. OMG - Tamarah, you find the coolest stuff ever! Love everything. Can I come shopping in your shed? Or I might have to come down your way and go HR with you!! I can't believe people would just throw away such wonderful treasures.
P.S How cute is ALF? I loved ALF when I was little. We named even our cat after him!! Have a great week :)

  2. What a fantastic haul Tamarah! Can I come and shop with Elizabeth too? I love your finds. xx

  3. O wow! Tamarah!!! that table is just like the one I'm looking for my kitchen!!!! Love IT!!!!!

  4. eeek i am loving that scrolly gate, give me first dibs please please!! Love perusing your finds, its alway so much fun.

  5. Tamarah there is a shop in my town called My Back Shed. She literally started out in her back shed and now has a gorgeous store front. ....are the bells ringing...perhaps that counter bell?. You should have shop.

We have a very ugly, plain big box store island here at the cottage, all with icky veneer. I went out and bought panels from Home Depot to panel it, then thoguht $260.00 for MDF was ridiculous. I ended up buying 2 old doors like that one for $20. I am turning them sideways and using them as panelling! My husband just cant get it, but my neighbor up here loves the idea nd is going to do it for me. He came yesterday with real barboards to do the countertop too. So there is VALUE in hard rubbish. Saves money and the landfill.

    You really should live closer!

  6. oh man! what a great haul! love that table and I've a soft spot for the windows too! I love that you are having so much fun!
I USED to haul the same kind of stuff home and keep some, resell the rest, I too had sooo much fun!
Can't wait for the special find to show up here!

  7. That cabinet mirror would look good sideways with an etching. Great easel, love it all. Lezlee

  8. Tamara - I discovered your blog site through Chania. I love the way you can put everything together - an absolute work of art. You are definitely on my fave blog list

  9. I don't know what I like best! That easel is amazing!!

  10. Oh Boy, What a great collection of goodies. I love everything, especially though, the jelly mould. You definately need a bigger house, shed and garden. Razmataz is quite right,it should be your business. It's what you do best..JUNK, and we all love you for it.
Thankyou for bringing those goodies to life on my computer. It brings such a big smile to my face.

  13. Fantastic found! I love everything! The doors are my dream!

  14. Wow, wow, wow! I found you via Elizabeth and I may just have to stick around. You found some terrific stuff. What is it about Australia and all the talented junk finders there? I am so jealous. I have that same silver urn. I believe it's a champagne bucket. I bought it at Goodwill for 3.99.

  15. I cannot believe you found all of those treasures! I am in complete love with that chippy table and i think you should keep it crackly on top! Thank you for sending me a description of the HR you visit. I would love to see a picture? Is it in front of each house or in one area in a neighborhood??? I read all the above posts and all i have to say is WOW!!!

  16. Sooo much potential!!
    Thank you for posting.
