Andrea Frost aka 'The Queen Of Random'
 The Pink Poodle

Hi Everyone....

Having raised two wonderful boys & seeing them through university & out into the world I figure it's my time to shine & pursue my creative interests.  Now my time is my own once again, I spend many hours searching out Treasures for my business, The Vintage Hatbox.

I sell shabby vintage flea market goodies on ebay, with my latest interest involving linen and lace....I love the tactile aspect of vintage textiles & enjoy repurposing my finds & sharing them with my readers on my blog, The Pink Poodle.

I feel privileged to be participating in the Shabby Vintage Junk Extravaganza for the second time & am looking forward to creating a visual feast to entice & delight our visitors.

Callie Whelan - Hunted & Collected

Callie from Hunted and Collected will be again bringing her eclectic mix of wonderful vintage adornments, which will be uniquely styled with a treasure trove of delightful goodies including vintage mannequins, industrial wood patterns and some lively little air plants - all of which will be available for purchase. Her inspiration for the show will be 'classical opulence' with a shabby twist. From her extensive collection of fabulous vintage jewellery, she will be bringing 1930s celluloid, quirky 1940s figural plastics, 1920s flapper glass beads, as well as her ever popular collection of war era wood and bakelite jewellery, with some lovely sparkly retro delights as well.

For a preview of some of the creme of her vintage jewellery crop, be sure to check out Callie's collection online at www.huntedandcollected.com - particularly if you wish to get a head start on your fellow junkers. If you don't find that special something there, don't despair; she tells me that she has been putting aside a collection of vintage pieces especially for the SVJX. But, if you are hunting something specific and you want her to bring it to the fair, don't be shy about it! Drop her a line or two via her contacts page, as she has over 3000 treasures at last count and she might just have what you are looking for! And she does wholesale too!

Also, best get in early to get your hands on a collection of 1940s figural scatter pins all priced at only $5 ea! They look fabulous on children's coats or create a scenic delight with several on your winter jacket.

With that in mind I create furniture and soft furnishings with a vintage vibe. In addition, I provide a design inspiration service sourcing original vintage items for the home.

Irene Bibes - Re-Vintaged

Re-Vintaged was created to give me an excuse to trawl through Op Shops and Second-hand stores &spend inordinate amounts of time online searching for that perfect piece of fabric, lace or linen. My emphasis will always be on Vintage floral fabrics and Hand-embroidered Linens and how I can re-purpose or Re-Vintage them.

I am the perennial bower bird and if I see something, the price is right and I just have to have it , it comes home with me. & I hope others will share this passion of mine at the Shabby Vintage, Junk Extravaganza.

I am presenting a selection of hand-made items including cushions and bunting, to small upholstered items. There will also be an eclectic array of household items, vintage linens and fabrics.

See you there!
Irene Bibes

We stock jewellery, homewares, clothes, soaps, stationery and anything that takes our fancy, all displayed within a framework of vintage, most for sale (a few that aren’t!) Because of this, our shops are frequently changing and always interesting!

Jenny - Vintage Living

One of my high school friends reminded me recently that I’d always loved old things but I first started collecting seriously over thirty years ago when I was inspired by English designer Trisha Guilds gorgeous collection of Carltonware, Clarice Cliff & frosted green Depression glass.
This ignited in me what has become a lifelong obsession for collecting. Over time I have collected Carltonware, Clarice Cliff, Malingware, Royal Winton all-over floral, Victorian enameled glass, Depression glass in all colours, Victorian chamber jugs, Edwardian oils of roses, barbola mirrors, Murano glass – in particular cornucopias, Staffordshire florals & rosy 50’s china. There are more but too numerous to mention!
This love of the chase led me to opening a stall in an antique market which, in turn led to my opening a shop eight years ago called “Vintage Living” which I closed 4 months ago as I was long overdue for a break. I used to tell customers that I had to start selling to support my habit! Two of the highlights of my shop experience were hiring out items for films & this year many of my pieces will feature in the new Peter Weir film “The Eye of the Storm” featuring Geoffrey Rush, Charlotte Rampling & Judy Davis.
Also, I had the pleasure of a visit from the lovely Taylor Swift who remarked that I had a “very beautiful store” & purchased a dinner setting for twelve & a beautiful set of 1930’s china kitchen cannisters. My biggest problem has been that while I fall in love with new looks, I don’t fall out of love with old ones & hence I have an over-abundance of collectables!
I have presently been seduced by the more neutral, natural aesthetic but I still look at my old copy of Martha Stewarts “Entertaining” & can’t help but remain in awe of that gorgeous country kitchen – which prompted me to collect baskets all those years ago!
I am supported in all of my ventures by my husband who spends his weekends cleaning, repairing & painting for me when what he’d rather be doing is sitting watching the footy! At the “Extravaganza” I will be selling small furnishings, prints & paintings, china, lightfittings, Florentine, vintage clothing, jewellery & linen.my stall.
