FINALLY....My NEW Malden Filofax is here....!!!!!

Hello Filo Friends & Junk Peeps....!

When the doorbell rang at 6.47am this morning I jumped out of bed omitting a shriek of pure childlike JOY 'cause I knew when I flung open the door, an Aussie Post Courier was going to be standing there wanting me to sign for my new personal sized Malden Filofax in Ochre....And I was not disappointed....**insert big STUPID grin here**....!!!!!

And how did I know....?  Yesterday after clicking my UPS tracking doodad for what must have been the THOUSANDTH time over the last FOUR weeks since the GORGEOUS Margo forwarded my BEAUTY on to me, the tracking info displayed FINALLY said processed in AUSTRALIA....Yep I was BESIDE myself last night when I went to bed....Surely it would arrived TOMORROW I hoped as I drifted off to sleep....Thanks Heavens it did other wise I would have had to wait until MONDAY....BUGGER that....!!!!!

I didn't linger....I tore the wrapping open to reveal the Filofax box TOOT SWEET....

And the ANGELS sang as I pushed aside the tissue paper to reveal this SEXY piece of leather beneath....**sigh**....

There's an eBay Seller in the US who refers to this particular style of Filofax as 'The Tom Selleck'....Oh YEAH....**wink**....

Here he is with my crimson pocket sized Malden I use as a wallet....

A month or so ago I discovered the DIVINE Ms enjoyette on YouTube who did a series of videos on her own Malden personal setup which appealed to IMMENSELY....I LOVE how she was able to make such a practical tool both functional & FUN at the same time....!!

So when you open 'Tom' up there are four credit card size pockets which I've popped some of my SVJ business cards in & a small notebook from Typo that I found in an Op-Shop....The pages are perforated making it a very handy little item....!

This plastic sleeve has an opening at the top that I can stow larger pieces of paper, lists etc for future filing...

Next up are two pages filled with Smash Pockets by K&Company though, you can also get similar ones here in Melbourne from Typo....PERFECT for stashing bits of TAT....

Quick ref yearly calendars....

My week on two pages....Colour coded....green is BUSINESS, blue is HEALTH & FITNESS & orange relates to SOCIAL activities...Appointment times are noted at the top of the day using an erasable pen (as appointment times can change) & I use the appropriate colour pen to indicate which appointment it relates to....Once an appt. or task has been completed I draw a line through it in red....

TO DO lists are filed under the appropriate month for quick reference....

My project section is colour coded with four individual dividers....

A ruler leads me to my SPARE NOTE pages....

This is TODAYS TO DO list which sits in between my week on two pages....

After my PROJECT section I have a map of the world followed by two pages of credit card pockets....

....Where I stow specific business cards & stickers....The pocket on the back has a few stickers & some emergency money....shhhhhhh.....DON'T tell anyone....**wink**....!!

Three things that made me SMILE out loud today....

Hooley DOOLEY....What a day....!

I walked out the back this morning at 6.20am to begin the mammoth task of processing the stock I've gathered over the last 4 days....It's now 6.32pm & I've just downed tools (sugar soap, eucalyptus oil & various scrubbing implements) for the day & walked inside....Unfortunately, I still have around 3 hours worth of cleaning to go but that will have to wait until tomorrow 'cause I'm B.E.A.T....!!!!!

Throughout the day I've popped inside for one reason or another & passed by the three items you see below & every time my eyes lighted on these recently acquired Treasures my HEART SMILED....O.U.T LOUD....

Three vintage pieces with absolutely nothing in common other than the fact I found them in the Hard Rubbish....

This 1960's artwork is so STRIKING....Everything about it says TOUCH ME....!

SEXY organic Mid century simplicity....!!

And I ADORE this small English made dart board....

A.D.O.R.E it....!!!!!

And this little SWEETIE is simply TO DIE FOR....

I have three larger light fittings & was THRILLED to find the smallest version....I hope one day to use them in our FOREVER house....!!

So GLAD I had these three Treasures to keep me company today....Without them I may not have cracked a smile all day....!!!!!

Stock Options....Saturday Finds....!

Hey Keepers of The Past....!

I trust this post finds you all enjoying a LOVELY weekend....!

I thought I'd pop in & share my Saturday finds with you....You'll have to forgive the blurry images though I'm afraid as they were taken just as the sun was kissing our horizon goodbye for the day....!

As a re-seller of vintage wares, I go through 'dry spells' where stock is very 'light on the ground'....So much so I find I'm forever having to think outside the square in so far as what I can do or where I can go to get me some of the good junk....I'm HAPPY to say though, the months of July & August offer no such challenges....As a matter of fact, the amount of stock available to me during these two months can be somewhat overwhelming....

Over this 8 week period it becomes a real struggle to actually process everything I bring home & get it into my spaces at The Vintage Shed & Waverley Antiques & Collectibles Bazaar before my OCD kicks in & I feel I'm on the brink of having a nervous breakdown....SERIOUSLY....I do NOT do clutter well & having so much stock under my feet does my head in....!!!!!

Today when I was out & about I hit two AWESOME garage sales & scored a MESS of Treasures....I ended up being out on the road for the better part of the day though so I was unable to process (clean, fix & tag) anything though so it's stacked up high behind me around the dining table....And as our TINY backyard offers no protection from the elements, I daren't leave any of it outside....Of course, having it inside brings all sorts of 'issues' to the table....Spiders, 'smells'....It's NOT PRETTY folks....What I'd do for a BARN like my mate Margo....**sigh**.....

There are a number of pieces I'd LOVE to keep....

Love....LOVE....L-O-V-E this style of chair....I think it may be a Fler....POTENTIAL KEEPER for sure....The fact I have TWO just like it in storage simply means I need TWO more....hahahaha....

Been an AGE since I found any of these chairs....They'll clean up BEAUTIFULLY....

Need to rip this tacky fabric off & see what's underneath....

Wooden ironing boards & wooden frames are ALWAYS on my 'shopping' list....!

This little chippy dresser is a cutie....No repairs required....Just some ELBOW GREASE....

These chairs are ALWAYS great sellers & with summer nipping at our heals I don't imagine It'll be around for long....

This was the ONLY piece I cleaned before I came inside....It looks AMAZING....The white base is metal which surprised me as these are generally plastic....

Sweet tiered 50's white painted bookshelf & TELECOM Technician's tool box....

I'm kinda liking orange at the moment....Though I don't think it will ever replace my red & green....

I may paint this standard lamp base....

Chippy green metal ladder....I can't find enough of these....

Now this bike is something else....The graphics are stunNING & I'm not sure if I'll be able to part with it....

Hooley dooley....This post has taken TWO stubbies (bottles of beer) to write so I'm off to stagger about the interweb in a semi drunk relaxed fashion....Here's hoping I don't leave any RIDICULOUS comments anywhere....hahahaha....
